Band of Misfits online movie review actually turned out to be a good thing for the movie because the Aardman Studio was able to amend the scene even before the movie got out.
Very minimal effort was required to find a good The Pirates! Band of Misfits online movie review. As mentioned above, just going through the article Wikipedia made about the movie provided a very good The Pirates! Band of Misfits online movie review. Google was also able to provide certain sources for a possible The Pirates! Band of Misfits online movie review. In another The Pirates! Band of Misfits online movie review that I saw, it was mentioned that this is the first movie wherein people are going to hear Hugh Grant’s voice in an animated movie.
The movie is set to be released on April 27, 2012 in the United States and March 28, 2012 in the UK. Voices in the film include Hugh Grant for The Pirate Captain, Salma Hayek for Cutlass Liz, Jeremy Piven for Black Bellamy, Imelda Staunton for Queen Victoria, David Tennant for Charles Darwin and Martin Freeman as the pirate with a scarf.
There is a certain outrage brought upon a trailer which was released for the movie in January 2012. The negative reaction came from the Lepra Health in Action. The reaction was triggered by a certain scene from the trailer. In this scene, Pirate Captain demanded gold from the people occupying a boat. One of the crew of that boat answered him that he is afraid that there is no gold in that boat because it was a lepers’ boat. When he gestured with his arm, the arm fell off. People from the Lepra Health in Action then mentioned that the scene made fun of the disease and that it reinforces the prejudice that people have against lepers. After getting this reaction, Aardman responded that the scene is to be amended and that the last thing that the movie wants to do is to offend anyone. The Lepra Health in Action then announced that they are pleased about what Aardman announced.
The movie is based on Dafoe’s two books. These are actually the first two books out of a series of three. These books are entitled The Pirates! In an Adventure with a Scientist and The Pirates! In an Adventure with the Whaling. This movie tackles the misadventures of The Pirate Captain in his quest towards winning the Pirate of the Year Award. He must first defeat his rivals Cutlass Liaz and Black Bellamy. This attempt at winning brought The Pirate Captain and his crew across the sea and even in the streets.
