Band of Misfits Trailer online, I realized that it might actually be another movie that is worth watching.

What made me decide to watch The Pirates! Band of Misfits Trailer online? It is the very colourful and lively posters. Somehow, the pictures in the posters do not look like typical animated pictures. I read a little about and found out that the movie is actually done in Claymation. I had to find out what Claymation actually is so I looked for a trailer and decided to watch The Pirates! Band of Misfits Trailer online. After I did watch The Pirates! Band of Misfits Trailer online, I realized that this movie is actually something that I would like to watch.

According to Wikipedia, the movie is Aardman Production’s first attempt at making a Claymation movie in full 3D stop-animation. Aardman mentioned that he was thrilled to do the project due to the liberty in creativity that it provided.

Basing on Gideon Defoe’s first two books in a series of three which are entitled The Pirates! In an Adventure with a Scientist and The Pirates! In an Adventure with the Whaling. This movie tackles the misadventures of The Pirate Captain in his quest towards winning the Pirate of the Year Award. He must first defeat his rivals Cutlass Liaz and Black Bellamy. This attempt at winning brought The Pirate Captain and his crew across the sea and even in the streets.

In January 2012, when a trailer was first released, people coming from the Lepra Health in Action reacted violently in one of the scenes shown in the trailer, in this scene, Pirate Captain demanded gold from the people occupying a boat. One of the crew of that boat answered him that he is afraid that there is no gold in that boat because it was a lepers’ boat. When he gestured with his arm, the arm fell off.

People from the Lepra Health in Action then mentioned that the scene made fun of the disease and that it reinforces the prejudice that people have against lepers. After getting this reaction, Aardman responded that the scene is to be amended and that the last thing that the movie wants to do is to offend anyone. The Lepra Health in Action then announced that they are pleased about what Aardman announced.

The movie is set to be released on April 27, 2012 in the United States. Cast members include the voices of Hugh Grant, Salma Hayek, Jeremy Piven, Imelda Staunton and David Tennent.
